Asturian US Argeo, Luis  Documentary West Virginia Public Broadcasting 2007 DVD F247.H3 A788 2006 The town of Arnao, in the Asturias province of northern Spain, grew under the wing of the Royal Mining Company, a leading zinc producer. After the closure of its mine at the beginning of the 20th century, many employees and their families emigrated to similar operations in the New World, some in Harrison County. New towns were created, including Spelter and Anmoore, near Clarksburg. Their populations were 90 percent Asturians. Today, only remnants and memories remain of these little-known Appalachian Spanish communities. The Mayor doesn't know what to do to welcome them. Carmen Vargas's agent throws surprising initiatives, moving all the village people just to prepare a better reception for the foreigners. His idea is to disguise all the farmers as Andalusians and add colour to every street with typical decorations. A young boy attacks the homeless man. At first, the boy tells him about his wild nights, then he knocks the homeless brother to the ground and steals the old man's ring. At home, the young boy has a bath and asks his father to join him in the tub. The boy's father has a girlfriend, a young woman. He intends to end their relationship... El cantar de mío Cid [The Song of My Cid] Ruiz-Castillo, Arturo  Drama, History TVE [Televisión Española] 1980 VIDEO 703 Based on a true story, it tells of the Castilian hero El Cid, and takes place during the Reconquista of Spain from the Moors.  The story begins with the exile of El Cid, whose enemies had unjustly accused him of stealing money from the king, Alfonso VI of Castile and León, leading to his exile. To regain his honor, he participated in the battles against the Moorish armies and conquered Valencia. By these heroic acts he regained the confidence of the king and his honor was restored. The king personally marries El Cid's daughters to the infantes (princes) of Carrión. However, when the princes are humiliated by El Cid's men for their cowardice, the infantes swear revenge. They beat their new wives and leave them for dead. When El Cid learns of this he pleads to the king for justice. The infantes are forced to return El Cid's dowry and are defeated in a duel, stripping them of all honor. El Cid's two daughters then remarry to the infantes of Navarre and Aragon.
