Geologists publish in sometimes hard to locate sources. Often they will be special reports or series published by federal and state geological surveys.

You must decide if your source is a journal article or a report from an agency. Look up reports by the author or title of the report in the Library Catalog.
Check MaineCat for sources relating to the state of Maine. The University and State Library have an extensive collection.
