To take advantage of Colby Libraries' online resources you need:
Below are important updates. Check back for ongoing updates or contact your subject liason.
3/16/20: Collection Management is working to find replacements as soon as possible for reserve items (either ebooks, streaming videos, or streaming audio where needed). They are also triaging incoming and expected physical orders. Priority will be given to key materials and seniors who need materials. An update on what they have gotten for reserves will be sent later in the week.
3/23/20: Explore NEW resources (click bolded text) and content coming online to support remote learning.
Some library content is only available via VPN. Instructions for setting up the VPN are here.
Some library resources will require you to verify through Okta with your Colby credentials. Links you may have bookmarked for on-campus use may not prompt you for your credentials- try accessing via the library home page instead. Contact the library if you are having difficulty getting access to resources at firstname.lastname@example.org
ILL requests have been interrupted with library closures throughout the country. Please do not plan on access to ILL materials in the foreseeable future. The library will not be able to deliver physical materials, but will work to fulfill requests for articles and book chapters when possible. Library liaisons will be in touch with faculty with more information about scanning print documents.
We created a guide to help students with off-campus research. Please share as needed.
With the libraries closed, no staff or librarians are going into the libraries and everyone is working at home. People do not have access to the collection at this time.
Colby Libraries are committed to the continued support of the research and teaching of faculty and students. Our top priority is to ensure that as many resources and services as possible are accessible remotely. Visit this page often to check on changes to services, hours and access
