Geologists publish in sometimes hard to locate sources. Often they will be special reports or series published by federal and state geological surveys.

• The USGS and GSA publish many series. Check out their tab above for more information.
• You must decide if your source is a journal article or a report from an agency. Look up reports by the author or title of the report in the Library Catalog.
• Check MaineCat for sources relating to the state of Maine. The University and State Library have an extensive collection.
• ASK for Help! These citations are often tricky. ==> see my contact info to the right.
• Expect to request titles from Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
