NOTE - Videos and DVDs placed on Reserve by faculty may be requested at the Reserve Desk (Miller) or at the Circulation Desks in Art/Music (Bixler) or Science Library (Olin). Video and dvd locations will be indicated in the catalog.
MAINECAT OR NEXPRESS BORROWING
Videos/DVDs may often be borrowed via MaineCat and NExpress and may be picked up at the Miller Circulation Desk. Most loan periods are for one (1) week.
Like Colby media loans to Bates, Bowdoin, and other NExpress and MaineCat libraries, videos from other institutions are subject to immediate recall for use by the home institution.
Videos are often difficult to obtain on Interlibrary Loan. Please consult with the ILL staff at Miller Library.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP IT?
Colby Students: one (1) week, no renewals, subject to immediate recall for classroom use.
Colby Faculty: one (1) week, one (1) renewal, subject to immediate recall for classroom use.
Courtesy Borrowers: in library use only.
Videos on Reserve usually circulate for four (4) hours, and sometimes overnight - the Reserves staff will tell you.
