COLBY'S COLLECTION

The Colby Libraries provide a collection of videos and DVDs for classroom instruction as well as for leisure viewing by the Colby community.  Use of a film for a public viewing may require obtaining public performance rights.
The collection consists of feature films, documentaries, classics, silent films and television programs. Films of recognized merit, winners of major film festivals, and major award winners are purchased within budgetary limits. Emphasis is given to films that contribute to the knowledge and understanding of other countries and cultures.

PUBLIC PERFORMANCE

Showing a film to a group or club may require obtaining public performance rights (PPR), even if the event is held on campus, is free, and is intended to contribute to the cultural and intellectual campus climate.
